Job Summary:
Candidate will be responsible for managing daily the operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves supervising staff, overseeing equipment maintenance, and coordinating production schedules to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Oversight: Manages daily plant activities, including production, processing, and packaging. Ensures that production targets are met while maintaining quality and efficiency. Monitors workflow and implement process improvements as needed.
- Staff Supervision: Leads, trains, and supervises plant workers to ensure optimal performance. Schedules shifts, assigns tasks, and ensures adequate staffing levels. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team productivity.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforces health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Conducts regular safety inspections and address potential hazards. Ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversees the operation and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Coordinates with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance. Reports equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Quality Control: Monitors production processes to ensure products meet quality standards. Implements and maintains quality control procedures and documentation. Addresses and resolves quality issues in collaboration with the quality assurance team.
- Inventory and Resource Management: Tracks and manages raw materials, finished goods, and supplies. Coordinates with procurement and logistics teams for timely delivery of materials. Optimizes resource usage to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepares and submits reports on production, safety, and equipment performance. Maintains accurate records of plant activities, including downtime and maintenance logs. Analyses data to identify trends and recommend operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- 6 – 10 years of proven experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
