Job Summary:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods within a supply chain. This role ensures that operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet customer and organizational expectations. The Logistics Manager also manages relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees logistics operations (product order, loading, transportation, and delivery) in Nigeria, in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensures optimization of inbound and outbound logistics operations, transit warehouses, as well as effective tracking of product stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency across locations.
  • Develops and implements logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Manages relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Analyzes data to identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and cost savings.
  • Leads and mentors the logistics team to achieve performance goals.
  • Prepares and presents logistics performance reports to senior management.
  • Resolves logistics issues and addresses challenges to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s Degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, supply chain principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
