Job Description

Job Summary:

Candidate is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This role involves applying engineering principles to innovate, improve, and ensure the efficiency, reliability, and safety of electrical systems used in domestic, commercial and industrial setups, such as energy, manufacturing, construction, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carries out routine and schedule maintenance of all electronics panel boards, electrical motors, harness and devices.
  • Consults manufacturer manuals, circuit diagram and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures for electronics, electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Troubleshoots equipment problems in a timely manner to avoid any delays and standby time.
  • Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematic and analyse electrical code specifications.
  • Inspecting equipment and conducting periodic maintenance system upgrades to meet evolving standards.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and provides technical support and training on new equipment.
  • Provides accurate parts request and estimate (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job- Keep logs on work and issues.
  • Ensures adherence to all safety regulations and housekeeping of all maintenance works executed by his team.
  • Reads system schematics and advanced troubleshooting skills in heavy equipment.
  • Possesses working knowledge of machines diagnostic systems and methods- Handle various diagnostic tools.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in electrical engineering or a related discipline. (Master’s degree is an advantage)
  • A minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience in heavy equipment electrical system.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical design, systems analysis, or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or MATLAB).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and instrumentation.
  • Proficient in using electrical engineering tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
  • Practical experience with operating, testing, and maintaining digital and analog devices and equipment.
