Job Summary:

A Lubricant Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing, distribution and operational strategies related to lubricant products. This role involves managing business development activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving profitability in the lubricant division. The LSM works closely with teams in sales, supply chain and technical services to deliver value to clients in industries such as automotive, manufacturing and energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development and Sales: Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and increase market share for lubricant products. Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various industries. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors and partners.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to remain competitive and drive revenue. Monitor and evaluate the performance of lubricant products in the market.
  • Product Management: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure product quality and performance meet customer requirements. Oversee the introduction of new lubricant products and ensure successful market penetration. Provide technical guidance and support to customers on lubricant applications and solutions.
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management: Ensure efficient inventory management and on-time delivery of lubricant products. Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to streamline distribution channels. Address operational challenges, such as supply shortages or transportation issues.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor sales and technical teams to achieve business objectives. Set performance targets and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team success. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Provide after-sales support and build long-term partnerships with key clients. Organize customer training sessions and technical workshops as needed.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to lubricant products. Prepare and present reports on sales performance, market trends and operational metrics. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities and market analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or management within the lubricant or petroleum industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lubricant products, applications and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and sales software.
